Transport: International Alicante airport is located at 10 km. (direct flights to Alicante with : Air Berlin, Ryan Air, Easy Jet,Sterling, Transavia,Monarch,Air Finland, and many more ).

Car is recommended, however near the apartment you can find several public bus stops that take you to the centre of Santa Pola and Alicante.

The few miles distance to the airport make Gran Alacant a particularly good place to stay as you can be in your holiday rental accomodation in less than an hour from landing and, because Gran Alacant is not on the flight path, there is no aircraft noise.

The area is quite cosmopolitan with an interesting mixture of nationalities – mainly Spanish, British and Scandinavian own property here – yet has a typical Spanish feel. This mixture is reflected in the bars and restaurants in the area. Spanish run tapas bars, fish restaurants and pizzerias mix happily with British owned bars and restaurants.
Gran Alacant has plenty to offer those looking for a relaxing holiday and also those looking for something a bit more active. With easy access to Alicante city and the excellent motorway network, there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas. Less than 40 minutes by car is the exciting Terra Mitica theme park just outside Benidorm. Also for children at Benidorm is the superb water park Aqualandia.
